Quick guide
How this Polish speaking game helps
Explain the Polish word without using the forbidden words. This makes you find another way to describe the meaning — exactly the kind of skill that helps when you forget a word during a real conversation.
Build speaking confidence
Keep talking even when you cannot remember the exact word you need.
Learn to talk around a word
Describe it, define it or give an example using the Polish you already know. This is called circumlocution.
Make vocabulary more active
Practise recalling and using words instead of only recognising them.
Which level is right for you?
Easy · A1 Polish
Common everyday vocabulary, fewer forbidden words and English help when you need it. Best if you can already make simple Polish sentences. It is not designed for complete beginners.
Medium · A2 Polish
Everyday vocabulary with a little more challenge. Good if you can already describe people, places, plans and simple experiences in Polish.
Challenge · B1+ Polish
More abstract vocabulary, feelings, opinions and trickier forbidden words. Best if you are comfortable explaining an idea in different ways.
Finding A1 difficult? Try Hint or Really stuck? for extra help.
